#Screening: La plus précieuse des marchandises - Michel Hazanavicius

 "The most precious of goods" is a baby, wrapped in a shawl and thrown from a train, who is rescued by a poor couple of woodcutters. In this tale, Jean-Claude Grumberg evokes the deportation, extermination and rescue of the Jews. Jean-Claude Grumberg's tale, published by Editions du Seuil in 2019, was the subject of a theatrical adaptation supported by the Foundation in 2021.

The animated film adaptation by director Michel Hazanavicius was also supported by the Foundation. The film has been selected for the Cannes Festival 2024.
